Season 1 episode 17 (“The Message”) of this sci-fi series is about a born-deaf woman (Marlee Matlin) whose new tech implant doesn’t succeed in “curing” her deafness, but starts picking up alien messages that her doctor and family misinterpret as signs of schizophrenia. Season 2 episode 11 (“The Inheritors: Part II”) is about aliens who abduct disabled children, including deaf children (series duration 1963-65)
